Another finish

My apologies again for putting such boring titles on the posts of all these lovely finished quilts, but there's a limit to the number of possible titles... Anyway, here's another finished mini - this one from Ann, and it should be off on its way to a new home across the sea very shortly...

The whole quilt...

A while back I showed a tease of the quilt that Liliane made for her partner - here's the whole thing - isn't it great? Yet another quilt I'd be happy to give a home to...

Tree of life!

Here's another finish - this one from Cathi in Ireland - and very nice it is, too. It's soon on its way to...someone not in Ireland. Don't you love all this excitement and mystery?

Tessellating finish

Another lovely purple creation, this one from Stephanie. So many quilts are on the way to their new owners, even as I type - it's very exciting!

Finished...for the second time!

This little beauty is actually the second quilt that Amy in NJ (we have several Amys in this swap) has made for her patrner in this swap - the first was a red and white beauty, which unfortunately bled when it was washed to remove the cat hair, so she made this one instead - a few of the blocks she had already waiting. I know the first one was lovely, but this one is fabulous, too, so I'm sure her partner will be delighted to receive it. In fact, I covet it, too - like most of the rest of the quilts I've seen! And it's good news for the rest of us who have mis-matched blocks lying around with no intended purpose - you never know when you might need them! More about this quilt and some closeup photos are over on Amy's blog.

Purples from the Poudre

Here's another finish - I love this - isn't it great? LisaJo has called it "Purples from the Poudre" (she lives in Poudre Canyon) and it has now gone off in the post to its new home...somewhere well away from the Canyon. A lot of quilts are in the post at the moment, so I expect to hear soon from lots of you that you have received your new beauties. So far, they have all reached their destinations in a timely manner, so we'll keep our fingers crossed (metaphorically, of course, as it's really hard to sew or type with crossed fingers...)

Amazing ship...

Here's one of the latest finished quilts - this is Dorothy's quilt for...someone. (One of the best things about hosting this swap is knowing who is going to get each finished quilt.) I love how it looks like it's in a proper wooden frame. This one will be going off to its new home in the next few days. Another lucky person!

Deadline reminder!

Hello all - just a little reminder that the mailing deadline for this swap is Tuesday, 1 July, which is a little over a week away (yikes!) - many of you have sent your quilts and another good handful of you have finished or nearly finished and have either communicated with me, posted on your blog or whatever, so I know where you stand. A few of you, I have just emailed a quick reminder to - this might be you if I haven't seen your quilt progress on your blog or you haven't been in touch with me about it, etc - not to imply you aren't working on it, but for those whose progress I haven't seen or been made aware of in some way, I just wanted to touch base.

If you have mailed your quilt and not let me know, please drop me a line so I can put it in my spreadsheet... Also, if you have received a quilt and not let me know, please LET ME KNOW!

I hope everyone who has received a quilt has either emailed their partner to say thank you or left a comment on her (or his) blog - if you need the email address of your partner in order to say thank you, just let me know and I will be glad to provide it.

3-D finish

Here's another finished quilt - and I think this one is definitely one of those where it will look so much better in person - for one thing, the petals are purple and I think we probably ALL know how hard it is to photograph purple! Sequana says "both the petals and binding are purple, and then the outer orange is more golden. The background behind the center medallion is more butterscotch...it looks dirty in the pic!" But also, this quilt has 3D elements - she says "the petals and rays are stitched together but free float on the background, attached only around the edge of the center circle". I've posted the photo anyway, even if it doesn't do justice to the finished quilt because I know you all want to get a bit of an idea...

Another finish

My apologies for not being able to think of more interesting post titles! But anyway, here's another lovely little quilt for you to admire - this one was made by Becca - and there are more photos (closeups, etc) on her blog, so do head on over there to check it out!

I'll say again how pleased I am with the quality and variety of these quilts - thanks so much to everyone who has taken their time to produce all these lovely little ones.

Irish Surprise!

This lovely little mini will very soon be on its way from Sherry in the Emerald Isle to...somewhere outside Ireland. I'm not telling, of course! Maybe it will be you...

Mini tease

Here's a little tease - this is part of Liliane's little mini quilt - I know, it's gorgeous, isn't it! I've seen a photo of the rest of it, too, and it's even better when you can see the whole thing!

Vibrant waves...

And here's another little lovely - dig these funky waves! This is the quilt which Colleen made, and it will be on its way to a lucky someone very soon.

Fab floral

Here's another lovely little mini (and a nice photo, too) - this is John's finished quilt and it will be on its way to...someone tomorrow.

Finished - again!

OK, so I can't make up my mind when something's really finished (this has happened before, though this is the first time it's happened after I've actually quilted something) - anyway, the bottom-heavy-ness of the piece was bothered me, so I have extended the flying geese to the bottom. Much better, I think. The label is ready to attach and I will post it off tomorrow, before I second (third?) guess myself again and do something else to it!

Ozark mini-garden

Here's a mini made by Jen, which will shortly be on its way to a new home... A funny story about this mini is that the actual blocks were originally made by someone other than Jen, and she won them in a giveaway. (She checked if this was ok, and I said it was). The funnier thing about this is that the person who originally made the blocks...was me. But if the blocks had stayed in my house, well, they'd still be in a box!

A finish of my own

Well, here it is - my contribution to the swap. I'm reasonably happy with how it came out, though it's little bottom heavy. Hopefully, X will like it!

...and another little finish!

They are coming thick and fast now, aren't they - so ncie to see so many fabulous little quilts. This one was made by Sarah for... (you know better than to expect me to slip up by now!) Sarah was musing on her blog about whether I'd do a grand reveal of some sort once all the quilts have been sent out and received - not sure what I'll do, but I'll certainly do some sort of round up of who made what for whom.

Black, white & red

Such a classic combination, isn't it - this lovely little quilt was made by Paula for her partner. Nice job, Paula!

Deadline Reminder!

Hi everyone - I know most of you are either finished or working on your quilts, and some have been mailed and received, but I just wanted to remind everyone that the deadline for mailing quilts is Tuesday, 1 July. It used to sound really far away, but that's just under a month now, so if you haven't started, you might want to get going fairly soon - and if you are working away on your piece, don't let it sit too long before finishing! I am nearly done my own piece (yay!) and will post a picture hopefully by the end of the weekend. Just the binding, sleeve & label to go.

Fab Flowers

Another great fnished mini, this one from Cat. I like this one a lot (I know, I know, I keep saying that!). I'm really loving the quality and variety of these quilts - well done, swappers.
